We have just returned from our first holiday on Mull staying at the wonderfully cosy cottage of Eastcroft and it was FANTASTIC! Having been there for two weeks, we need to return again, as there are still things left that we did not have time to do. We saw much of the island and can honestly say that Lochdon is the perfect location and base on Mull, it really is lovely.
From the cottage we saw Red Deer, no more than 20 feet way, Voles and Bats, Buzzards, a Hen Harrier, a Sparrow hawk and a couple of Sea Eagles. Not to mention the Curlews and other wading birds when the tide is out.
The Weather was extremely kind, with only one day that you would call a write off and even then we took the short drive to Duart Castle. It did get chilly in the evenings, but once the open fire was blazing away we were quickly warm and cosy!
The cottage is extremely well equipped and we wanted for the nothing.
We would recommend Eastcroft to anybody wanting to get away from it all and at the same time explore a beautiful part of the UK. We will definately be back!

We have just returned from our second year in a row staying at the perfect location of Eastcroft on Lochdon. We had 2 weeks this time, which still isn't long enough! Eastcroft continues to be our home from home and we both feel we have left a part of ourselves on the Isle of Mull...our Isle of Paradise.
The wild life was once again outstanding. We got great views of Sea Eagles,an Osprey fishing (and catching a fish) on Lochdon,Hen Harriers,Ravens,Barn Owls,Buzzards and the Red Deer Stags which frequently visited us at the cottage..and many more.We can't wait to return and be at home in this idyllic location.Thank you Carol & Angus

Took a bit of a chance going on holiday to Mull in November, but it paid off!
Brilliant time loads of wildlife, cosy cottage and came last in Craignure pub quiz on Monday night!
We will definitely be back when there's a bit more daylight!

Loved looking at the photos of Lochdon and the surrounds and also the pictures of Eastcroft - from another descendant of the original owner

We thoroughly enjoyed first visit to Mull and our stay at Eastcroft, which we found to be very comfortable. The dogs also had a very good week. We really enjoyed seeing all the varied wildlife which included: Red Deer just outside the door; Otters at Loch Na Keal, and of course the Sea Eagles at the RSPB hide. We are now planning our next visit.

We had an amazing week staying in the perfect location overlooking Lochdon. Eastcroft is a warm, friendly home from home with all the ammenities you'll need and views that wil stay with us forever. We had the fortune of seeing a whole host of wildlife right on the doorstep including Ospreys, Sea Eagles, Red Deer Stags and many more. We would highly recommend a stay at Eastcroft and shall definetly be returning ourselves..we can't wait!

Really enjoyed our stay at Eastcroft. Cottage well equipped and comfortable. Weather not kind to us but the lovely log fires helped a lot as did the wild life particularly the voles which we have never seen so close before. Wonderful location well placed within easy reach of the ferry and very central giving easy access to the whole Island and Iona

Had a wonderful two weeks on Mull, made all the better by choosing the right and best accommodation. Very well appointed, home from home (once we had found where everything was) and there was everything. We would have no hesitation in recommending Eastcroft, the situation was perfect, a little bit bare when the tide was out but at high tide, no better situation. Plenty of birdlife, in particular Sea Eagles, saw one or two daily. We had just one day of rain but it cleared early evening so we got out. For a well placed and comfortable cottage, you will love Eascroft.
